Expert Denture Services

Dentures may even improve your facial structure and help you feel greater confidence in your face. If you are missing multiple teeth, dentures at the office of Dr. Amin Samadian, a cosmetic dentist in San Francisco, and his team may be able to help you.

What are dentures?

Dentures are categorized as either partial or complete and can be prepared with or without implant support. Partial dentures may be ideal for you if you are only missing some of your teeth. They are tightly secured in place by a plastic base that is the same color as your gums.

Complete dentures, on the other hand, will be suggested if you do not have most or all of your teeth. They are an entire set of manufactured upper and lower teeth that are made from a gum-colored acrylic plate that sits snugly over your top and bottom gums.

Dr. Samadian and his team of experts will conduct a thorough exam of your teeth and gums and work with you to plan the best course of action for your dentures.

What do dentures in San Francisco involve?

In total, it takes about five appointments to complete the denture process from start to finish. Dr. Amin Samadian and his team will begin by taking an impression/digital scan of your jaw and some additional mouth measurements. They will also observe the color of your natural teeth and send that information along with the measurements and impression to the dental lab so your custom dentures can be made.

Dr. Samadian’s in-house laboratory and 3D printing technology will create a model of your jaw, set the teeth in a wax base, and cut the wax to the perfect shape. You may need to return to our office to try on the wax base and see if any adjustments are needed before it’s finalized. Once the denture is finished, it’ll be ready for you to wear.

You’ll need to care for your dentures exactly like your natural teeth. Dr. Amin Samadian and his team will urge you to use a denture cleaner to wash them, always keep them moistened when they’re not in your mouth, and brush your tongue and gums on a regular basis.

Do dentures hurt?

For the first few weeks, your dentures will likely feel heavy or awkward. Eventually, your mouth will adjust to them and you shouldn’t experience any pain while wearing your dentures in San Francisco.

What results will I see?

With dentures, you can compensate for any or all of your missing teeth. They can restore your ability to chew, speak, and enjoy life to the fullest.
